Velia was a bit surprised, too much at once, and had to start thinking everything through. So Kaige... and Shinrin... were both here. Kaige recognized her... but she'd have to explain some stuff to him... and Shinrin remained utterly clueless as to who the hell she was. Was she the only one with a decent memory? Because that's what it felt like. She felt a bit embarrassed... maybe Velia just wasn't important to Kaige or Shinrin now, and so that's why they didn't remember her. Well, at any rate, Velia was going to explain, and they were going to remember her...... she couldn't help but feel a bit excitement to see Kaige again. Shinrin, well, she could really just be surprised because she hadn't ever known her as much of a friend.
"Yes Kaige, it's me, Velia." She said finally with a slight nod. "I'm different, I know... I think everything is." She stated, looking off into the distance. "Why I'm here isn't important, and how I'm here doesn't matter much now." Velia stopped to think about whole she had come back into existence, and then frowned a bit. Her life could be over at the snap of the necklace, it was hard to do, but possible, yes. This was why not a single soul on the planet knew about her necklace, anyone could turn on her. "Anyways, I'm here though, it's me, Velia Silvermoon." She looked back toward him, and smiled like it was no big deal, which it was, she just wasn't showing it, and then turned to Shinrin.
"I never really knew you well," Velia said to Shinrin. "But I met you, oh, say a little over one hundred years ago." She stated, thinking about it. "I actually thin that you and I met through Kaige, because we're both ex-mates of his." Velia informed her, looking her straight in the eye. "Don't you remember? I'm not very important to you probably, but yeah..." She added, Velia hated having to explain so much, but if it would get the 'deer-in-the-headlights' look off of their faces, she'd do it. Velia was a bit different, and had a shorter fuse. Nothing was getting her angry though... yet.

His attention was turned away from Velia when Shinrin spoke. "Then what is the point of being here?" Kaige asked rather bluntly, his expression holding nothing but solid boredom when he glanced her way. Yes, he heard that she was one of those wolves that just roamed the lands now, but why was she here? Oh, right. Probably to just chat idly with him. They hadn't seen each other in awhile, after all. His shoulder lifted in a half shrug at her not remembering anything. He couldn't really say much to that. "Oh well. It's not a big deal," he said as his gaze drifted from Shinrin to Velia.
"Well, yeah, you're different," he replied to Velia. "We're all a little different now, whether it be physically or mentally." He paused to chuck quietly at what he said. "I'd say I've got more mental problems now then ever," he stated, briefly shaking his head. "Well, I think you being here matters. Maybe you'll help me keep my sanity. I'll probably end up losing it soon," he joked. It seemed that he was more pleased to see Velia then he was Shinrin. He didn't hold a grudge over the whole ordeal he once had with Shinrin anymore - he was really over it - but Velia.. well, he wasn't really sure. If he wondered about it anymore he would just end up confusing himself.
Things were different now and he would act differently. He didn't particularly have a good side to him; that would only be shown to someone deserving, someone he would choose to give his heart to. That wouldn't be happening soon though. Spending the past one hundred years alone got him to thinking about things that had happened in the past. He wasn't exactly sure if he was ready to make a 'commitment' just yet; not until he knew it was supposed to be. "Anyway...," he spoke up, shaking himself from his clouded mind. "It's good to see you," he said with a nod, meaning what he said.

Shinrin rose a brow at Kaige. "My point of being here...well yes, I was just chatting. I mean, I havn't seen you in a hundred years, and your the only memory from that time that I could remember. Maybe I just came to talk, or maybe I just came to prove to myself that my memories are not just dreams Ive had in the past. I think...if my memories are truly true, that I loved you once....." She was hoping by now some answers would have been reveiled, but there were none. She was going to ask 'so what happened to us?' but decided against it. She would find out some day.
She turned to Velia. She was an ex mate? And even so they were both ex mates....still...Kaige seemed happy to see her. It only brought up more questions. Her brain was buzzing with the confusion. She looked back and forth from Velia to Kaige, then finally could no longer contain her curiosity. "Velia..." She still didnt remember who she was. "What happened between you and Kaige?" She hoped it wasnt too personal a question. But she wanted answers, and there was obviously much less tension that Kaige and herself had.

Smiling an amused smile, Velia nodded. "Well, that can be my job, to help you mantain your sanity then, Kaige." Velia joked good-heartedly, then added, "But I don't think you've been fully-sane in quite some time, though sane wolves are boring... so I suppose that's a compliment." She nodded, not quite sure what she was rambaling about, but it was what was coming out, so she was just rolling with it. "I don't make much sense, but whatever." She said, grinning sheepishly. "And I agree, it's good to see you too." She smiled a bit again, and then turned to hear Shinrin's question.
"Oh, well er..." Velia stuttered, a bit suprised at Shinrin's question. Shouldn't she know? Shouldn't she remember? Well, at any rate, Velia wasn't about to say why... that was between her and Kaige... and she certainly wasn't going to share it with the world that she was stupid enough to run away. "It's not that important anymore... and I don't really talk about it." If Kaige wanted to admit she had been an utter fool, that was on him, but she wasn't going to. "It's all done and over with now, and we've both--" ah, crap. What did they both? What was the word she was looking for? "--moved on." Well, that was as close to the truth as it was going to get. He had moved on. And dammit Velia, it had been a hundred years. Hadn't you? Well, she didn't plan on any relationships any time soon, that was for sure.

Kaige's attention was pulled back to Shinrin when she spoke. The amusement that had been seen in his expression when he was speaking to Velia vanished and was replaced with something else; something different. "Uh.. yes, you did love me once," he replied, not wanting to say anything more than that. "A long time ago," he added quickly since he seemed to him that she had some memory loss or something of the sort. His brow pulled together and a frown began to tug at the corner of his maw, but he shrugged it off as he turned back to Velia when she spoke, ignoring the question Shinrin had just asked her.
"Then it's good that you're back around this part of the woods," he said with a half smirk. "And you're right about that -- I don't think I have ever been completely sane in many, many years." It was true, after all. Not once since he had separated from his remaining family members could he remember having one moment of sanity. It seemed like it was long gone and forgotten, but a small amount remained. He vaguely listened to Velia's answer to Shinrin's question with mixed feelings. However, he didn't feel like getting into any of that. It was something kept between him and Velia and he really didn't want the story told to anyone else.

Shinrin frowned at the words 'a long time ago.' She didn't know why, but just that he said that upset her. She lowered her head a bit, deep in thought. "Yes...a long time ago...but also....not very long ago." She whispered unawaringly. "Perhaps...." Her eyes widened in realization. "I still do now..." Her head surged with pain. She glanced back up to the other's conversation. They were happy to be around each other again. Shinrin gave a small smile, but it hurt a little just seeing them. She shook it from her head. It had been a hundred years ago....
Shinrin was utterly tired of the confusion, and she wanted answers. She straightened up, interupting their conversation. "Kaige....There is something I dont understand......" She glanced up as if trying to find the right words, then she just spat it out. "So what happened to us?"

"Hah, it sucks though that I'm only allowed to be in this 'part-of-the-woods' though. I miss it when these lands were united as one, ya know?" She asked, gazing off into the distance thoughtfully. "Then again..." she stated, turning her gaze back to Kaige. "When have the rules ever stopped me?" She joked good-heartedly, but still meant it as much as she had said it. Velia had never planned to stay in one Pack's land, even if she was a member. How much could go wrong? She was simply curious... not that that was ever really a good thing, but... that was all over.
Velia turned politely to Shinrin as she interrupted their conversation. Well... it was hers as much as theirs... right? Erm, sure. Velia didn't have much to say, and so she sat back on her haunches, the wind blowing the feathers that were tucked safely into her fur a bit and her red pulsing necklace to sway a bit around her neck. She didn't expect Kaige to explain... at least with her around... but sat there politely, as if waiting for Shinrin to speak, with her hears titled curiously.

"I guess it wouldn't be all that great.. being stuck in one area for however long it is you want to stick around," Kaige replied with a small shrug. He wasn't exactly sure how he felt about being subjected to one specific area. He was used to roaming the lands as far as he wanted to, but things were different now. "I would be a rule breaker myself if I wasn't doomed to rule over this part of the land," he said, half joking. He didn't consider himself 'doomed', but he didn't consider himself lucky. He put himself somewhere in between. "But it's what I get, so I'll have to live with it." He shook his head and chuckled quietly, though there was hardly any humor in it.
When he heard Shinrin's question he indeed felt doomed. It was the question he was hoping she wouldn't ask, a question he would rather avoid answering, but when did he ever get what he wanted? He hesitated in answering, almost considering lying, but he assumed Shinrin would know that he was lying. She wasn't that stupid after all. "Well.. er..," he stuttered, trying to figure out how to word it and remember how it happened. "I don't really remember much of it," he replied, being mostly honest. "I just remember you suddenly vanishing on me without a word," he said, knowing that was what had happened. "You kind of left me, I guess." He wasn't sure if that was the right thing to say, but she had left him without a single goodbye. He wasn't the bad guy in this story; at least not in this part.

Shinrin frowned. Her head dropped and she felt angry with herself. She just up and left him? Without a good bye? When she loved him that much? She remembered wanting to die...She remembered unforgettable pain. Her head throbbed, taking in the information like it was some kind of virus. Who even was she back then? Some kind of emo, crybaby, weak freak. Somebody who would leave the one who they love most, and feel so sorry for herself, that she would want to die. And how could she do such a horrible thing to Kaige? No wonder he wasn't happy with her around. She must have been the worst mate ever....
She looked up at Kaige. There were no tears in her eyes. It was a hundred years later, and ofcourse Shinrin had changed. She didn't feel the need for tears. They were weak. Instead she felt rage at herself for probably ruining Kaige's life. She was starting to remember a little more. There was a waterfall or something....she remembered looking down at Kaige with a smile, feeling her heart thump three times faster. She remembered herself hiding behind a bush. She was so shy back then. Thank God she wasnt like that any more. Her head ached as she tried to remember more, but nothing came.
She felt akward, talking to Kaige here. He must really hate her for what she did. And here he was, trying to talk to someone he was happy to see, someone he might even have still loved...And here was Shinrin, intruding, making him unhappy....If she left, why come back? She was confused, still not sure why she would do such a stupid thing, but it had happened...and.....now what? She looked at Kaige most sincerly. "Kaige...." She paused. Would he even take an apology? She wouldn't have. "I don't remember much...but Im not sure I want to anymore. Im sorry. For what I did. I dont know why I did it. I guess I was just stupid back then. Really...really stupid."
So now what? She apologize dand everything would be fine? She doubted it. But still, she had to say sorry. Her head turned to Velia. She still didnt remember a thing about her. She stood up straight, relizing her form was weakening and turned back to Kaige. "Im...really...really sorry." She glanced down, took a deep breath and nodded.

"Er..." Kaige found himself at a loss for words. He had heard Shinrin apologize more than once in the past, usually resulting her her being angry or upset and he just being flat out annoyed and irritated. However, this time he really didn't seem to notice it. Well, he did, he just didn't explode like he would have done in the past. Things were different this time and he had learned to move on from all of it. It was in the past and it no longer mattered. "Well, whatever," he finally managed to reply as he shrugged it off. "It's in the past. I'm not bothered by it." It was true after all. He had learned how to get over most, if not all, things that had happened in his life. There really was no point fretting over past events anymore.
"Anyway, now that that's done and over with...," Kaige started, though he wasn't sure how to finish the sentence. He pushed himself up to all fours and walked a few feet away from the other two, staring off into the distance. He didn't say anything more as he didn't know what else to say. He could change the subject, yes, but it would be quite obvious. Instead, he would wait until one of them spoke.

Shinrin glanced down, but no matter how bad she wanted to, she didnt feel sorry anymore. It was as if she had been forgiven. She wasnt sure if she truly was or not, but she felt like apologizing was the best she could do. And so she was over it too. She had changed. She wasnt going to stand around fretting about anything anymore. Especially something that she couldnt remember a hundred years ago. She glanced over at Velia. Something reached into her brain. Velia...Velia...Velia...oh yea! She was starting to remember. She had met Velia, though didnt know her too well. Back then, she didnt seem to bad. But she remembered disliking the part about being with Kaige. But now she was over that.
"Velia, next time I see you, I will stop to talk a bit more, deal?" She glanced back over at Kaige. "I think Im going to head out again. I may stop by every now and then just to visit, that is if you dont mind. So I'll catch yall around." She started to walk off, then stopped, turning her head back. "Oh, and Kaige. Will you take a raincheck on the joining the pack decision? I may want a place to stay later on. Roaming is hard on my paws." She smiled lightly.

Velia listened to the two. It seemed every time she had seen Shinrin... she said she was sorry. This time seemed different though, before she would be frustrated, and annoyed, and felt bad for Kaige, but this time it was kind of a, 'shrug-it-off' kind of deal. It was a curious deal, Shinrin and Kaige, and she almost found herself wondering about their story... though she didn't actually give a fucck. To Velia, Shinrin was a wanderer, perhaps someday a friend, and Kaige was her superior, and her friend. She still found it hard to believe that she had to respect him now... that part would be harder... but that was okay... it was just neat to see two wolves she had known before here. Velia really didn't feel like dealing with others, though now, maybe she could. Maybe things would be different?
Velia had been a bit spaced out... and wasn't paying too much attention to what was going on. As she heard her name being said, she snapped back into the present, and turned to Shinrin. "Yeah," she stated, "that would be nice. It would be cool to get to know you better." She said, nodding slightly. Velia looked between Kaige and Shinrin, and then, as she heard more, realized that Shinrin was leaving. Why? She wasn't actually sure... Velia hadn't been paying attention at all. 'Oh nice, you genius.' She scolded herself, acting like she had been paying attention and listening intently now, trying to catch up on what she had missed.

Kaige didn't give a reply to Shinrin as she took her leave. He heard her speak but he didn't register what she had asked. His expression held something unrecognizable, something strange. He was there physically, but mentally he was elsewhere, off in a world that didn't quite exist. He wasn't sure of what was going on, but in his mind it didn't matter at that moment. Something seemed out of place but he couldn't quite place his paw on it. Was it something about Shinrin and the way she had changed? Or was it about Velia? He didn't know and he didn't want to bother himself by thinking about it at that moment.
"What?" he asked suddenly, sounding slightly irritated. "Yeah, sure. Whatever," was his reply to Shinrin's question as he turned around to face the two with a shadowed look. "I don't care. Do what you want." His crimson gaze swept over Shinrin and his eyes narrowed slightly before he turned his attention to Velia, seeing that she would be sticking around. At least, that was what he assumed. "So, how has life been treating you?" he asked as he sat to the hardened ground once more. "If you don't mind me asking," he added with a short nod.

Shinrin gave Velia a nod, then quickly turned to Kaige. She paused a moment, just looking at Kaige, as if contemplating. She gave a quick shrugg to herself. "See you around hot shot." She gave one last nod and walked away, wondering about where she would be going next. With her knowledge and gossip, she had heard that her sister's pups may still be alive. Where did she hear that from? Oh yes, the Nehorai pack. Thats where she would be going next. She left as casually as Tuesday, not taking a second glance back.

Velia shrugged casually. "Eh, decently, I suppose. I think that I've finally opened my eyes to see that the world isn't always wonderful, and not everyone is perfect." She smiled a bit sheepishly, remembering how up-beat and optimistic she had always been... that was different now. Now she was a bit more... cynical? "I'm not complaining, though. My life's been decent." She decided on saying, and then her ears moved slightly as she looked off into the distance thoughtfully, just remembering events that had occurred since the time she had been given life again. She remembered the fights she had faced, and the times she had gone weeks and weeks without food, because of the terrible quality of the land. That was all fine now, though, considering Velia was alive and well... and she was grateful.
"What about you?" She asked, turning her head slightly to look at Kaige again. It appeared as if Kaige's life had been fine recently... considering that this time when they met up she didn't have to talk him out of killing himself. That was pretty upsetting, but that was over now. So why worry about some stupid incident that happened when Velia was young and clueless? Velia did regret some of the things she had done... but overall, was happy with herself. At times, she wished she could've died at a normal time, like everyone else... she did wonder occasionally what would happen after death itself, and sometimes wanted to take off her necklace, to break it, but then when she was about to, she decided that there was going to be something to live for, and death would come when it was supposed to for her. That's what she believed.
