Avira Swamp

The Avira Swamp, which was given its name due to the spirits that dwell within the murky waters, is the only source of water for those who live within the Dark Kingdom. The water is as black as the night sky and tainted with the spirits of the dead. Dark green moss clings to the surface of the black pool and bloodsucking insects hover over the surface, waiting for a warm body full of rich blood to come around. Trees that are old and gnarled lean over the the foul water without a reflection seen. Very few creatures come around, fearing the spirits that lurk within the area, though they are not as hostiles as those that can be found inside the cemetery. Like the cemetery, the swamp seems to be like a dead zone, hardly holding anything that lives. Not even the grass surrounding the pool of water appears lively; it lost its lush green color long ago.
