Itzal Forest

The Forest of Shadows, as the inhabitants of the Dark Kingdom call it, is an immense and mysterious place. Darkness blankets itself over the many treetops and across the twig scattered ground, making it nearly impossible to see while walking through, even during the brightest of days. Only at night is light ever able to pierce through the thick amount of leaves that shield the forest's secrets from being discovered. The light from the moon shines down through various openings, casting eerie shadows throughout the entire forest. It is said these shadows sometimes come to life, toying with the minds of those that dare to take a step into their vicinity. During the winter, when the leaves have departed from the trees that were once their home, it is said that the shadows are most active, as the light from the moon is able to break through with nothing to stop it. It is also said that these shadows only come to life during the night, when things are just right. However, these are merely assumptions and no one knows for sure if said shadows are alive. The forest holds many secrets that have yet to be found.
