He awoke startled to a snap behind him. Quickly, he jerked his head around to find that it was just a toad, happily getting its excersize in the warm rain that was occuring more and more often. Ginbuke felt the rain pelt his thick fur. Unlike most wolves, his upper coat was not waterproof, so he was completly soaked. An angry growl eminated from his maw as the summer rains continued to drench him in a warm, uncomfortable pour. The toad let out a loud croak, and Gin smacked it with his tail, sending it flying a few feet. The helpless toad fightengly hopped away from the large, utterly soaked wolf.
He layed his large head down on his paws, letting out an annoyed sigh. He had just turned a hundred and five today, and Gin hated every year of it. He had been alone for nearly a hundred years, one hundred long, painful years. He thought back to the day when his life was lengthened, and he was filled with both grief and rage...
He had been with her back then, the love of his life, his mate, MoonBeam. It felt as if he would be with her forever, like nothing could seperate them...but feelings werent always right, and they took her from him...Just before she parted, Gin remembered her running towards him, sinking her long, vampire fangs into his shoulder. He was confused, and in pain. When she let go, his eyes were wide, fear in his heart for what she had done. He didn't know what would happen to him if he was bitten, but he was sure it wasnt good. He had felt betrayed...and then he looked into her eyes. Those were not the eyes of a traitor, they were MoonBeam's eyes. Before he could think much about it, he had passed out, and next thing he knew, he felt thirsy. But it wasnt water he was thirsy for, it was blood.
And it had been almost a hundred years since then. Gin never understood why MoonBeam turned him into a vampire. He knew she had a reason, and he trusted her, but he had also become furious with her. He wasn't supposed to live this long, he was supposed to die, with MoonBeam at his side. It would have been perfect, he would have been happy. But now she was gone, and he was miserable. He wasnt sure if she was alive or dead...But if she was alive, why wasnt she here, with him? It was just another horrible birthday for Gin...

She could hardly stand the pain that stabbed threw her chest that cursed day. The feel of her teeth sinking into his warm flesh. It was the absolute worst thing she regretted. The life of a vampire wasn't meant for him, her mate, Gin. But MoonBeam had to do it. She didn't want to remember looking at him as they took her away, never to see him again, but now there was a chance.
Her dainty paws guided her threw the less that familiar forests. One hundred years had changed it plenty. It had also changed MoonBeam. Her wings where no longer a plain black, but a luxurious white that seemed to glow through the darkened pines. She had a new color added to her pelt. It was a light, dulled violet that looked purple in the warm summer rains.
She herd a croak. A very loud and frightened croak coming from below. She looked down as a toad hopped strait in front of her. It gave MoonBeam a horrified look and leaped away in as large of bounds as it could muster up. "Curious," Stated MoonBeam to no one in particular. "Quite curious indeed."

Gin rolled onto his back, staring up at the sky and blinking everytime a raindrop fell into his eyes. It was dark, but even darker than normal because of the rain clouds. Everynow and then a bolt of lightning would drop by, lighting the sky with a brilliant purple. Gin didn't care that he was soaked to the bone, this wet forest floor was the best place he could find to sleep. Atleast the tree hovering above him stop a little of the rain.
He was finding it extremly hard to sleep, then again, he hardly slept anymore, especially at night. Maybe it was just his vampire instincts, or perhaps he was just too miserable to sleep. He still wasnt used to be a vampire, especially being as large as he would. It would sometimes take twice as much animal for blood as it did for meat. He would wind up having to catch two animals, and leaving the carcass of one untouched, but dry. He hated that, but he also hated his improved senses. Everytime a grasshopper would leapt through the grass, he would jump, startled.
He rolled back over and stood to his paws, restless. He got closer to the tree, resting his head against it, wanting to bash his head against the bark, but too tired to do so. His fur fell flat against him, making his poof disapear and also weighing him down. His tail hung lifelessly behind him. It hadnt so much as flinched since MoonBeam was taken away. Ginbuke lazily scraped the bark from the tree with his horns. A twig fell from the branches as a gust of wind blew by, whacking Gin in the head as he shuddered from the moisture and wind.
Yup....just another horrible birthday...just another horrible day.

Her ears perked at the direction the toad came. There was a scraping noise in the breeze. A twig snapped. Instinctively she slowly padded toward the noise. "Hello?" She whispered, ears moving in all direction, trying yet again to find a noise or a sign that some one was around. "Is anyone there?" It was as if her paws floated above the ground. She kept herself as quiet as possible, as not to confuse her sounds from those of others.
Her light blue eyes squinted as she tried desperately to pear through the rain and darkness. It was useless. She could see about a meter and a half in front of her at the most. It all seemed pointless to look for this being sharing this forest with her, but she couldn't stop her curiosity from guiding her on wards.
((sorry for the Shortness xD))

He would have heard her if it wasnt for the pounding rain that thumped the forest floor in a lazy, unmusical rythem. The rain was coming down hard, and steam was starting to float up from the forest floor. It was extremly muggy, and Ginbuke hated it. He wished it was winter again. With his thick fur, he was hardly cold, even in the deepest of snows. His ears twitched to the familiar voice, but he only recognized it as the thump thump thumping of the gloomy rain drops. His rump fell into a sit, with his head still scraping the bark of the tree, sending shutters down his spine.
A puddle was beginning to form around his paws. He stopped the consistant scraping to glance down at his muddy paws. In the puddle, he saw a muddy, blury reflection of himself. He looked horrible, from the grief to the rain. He scratched at his head, face, trying to get his fur to poof back up, but only smearing mud on his cheek. Gin leaned in closer to the puddle. He could see that his eyes were red from lack of sleep. He leaned in closer, as if seeing a different object in the puddle's reflection, only to breathe in a nose full of mud and water. He let out a violent sneeze, then gave up, colapsing in the puddle with a deep sigh.

A dull flare of yellow was seen beneath the rain and through the trees. The rain seemed to thicken in that instant. MoonBeam rose her pale white wings to cover her head, not wanting to squint any longer. Her steps hardened and became more frequent as she moved the the splash of color. It seemed to brighten within every step. She tried to catch a sent, but every smell was masked by mud and summer rain. It annoyed her.
Closer and closer she got to the figure. It began to shape its self into a wolven being, but she still couldn't make out a face. "Hello?" She spoke out, loud enough for the figure to hear. She to one last paw step forward, not wanting to have a run in with one of them again.

His head bolted upright. This time, he had heard the voice. However, he did not recognize it, for it was muffled out by the rain. he stood to his paws and glanced around. The water ran down his fur into his eyes, and he couldnt see a thing but the rain. He wasnt sure whether to run or stand his ground. He was rather weak from the lack of sleep, however a hello usually did not result in a fight. Usually. He stood where he was, time ticking by. He opened his mouth to speak up, then shut it again. He thought about squeezing up against the tree. Maybe then he wouldnt be spotted, then he remembered that he had bright yellow fur, and the wolf had probably already spotted him easily.
He glanced back. If he ran, even with the trees spaced out as they were, he couldnt see, and he may run into a bush or a tree. However, he wasn't the curious type, and he wasn't sure he wanted to meet this mysterious wolf. Finally, when he realized the wolf must be coming closer, he stood tall, hoping that his large frame may be able to scare away the oncomer, not remembering that with his fluff flat, he was almost the normal wolf's size. His breath was heavy in the rain, he was getting nervous. It seemed he had forgotten his past as a warrior in his grief. "W..Who is it?! Dont come any closer!...I...I bite!"

She heard merely a muffled voice beneath the rain. She pricked her ears as far as they would go. She walked a tad bit closer. The only word she could really make out was bite. The wolf sounded a tad bit frightened. She smiled warmly, although she knew the wolf could not see. "My name is MoonBeam!" She called to the wolf as loud as she could muster. She lowered her bright winged to show that she was no threat.

Ginbuke began to growl. He hadn't quite understood her name. He stood there, his fur would have risen if it wasnt so soaked. "I sware I'll..." He stopped. Putting two and two together, he finally figured out the wolf's name. ShroomTeam? What the hell kind of a name was that? He almost felt sorry for the fem. He saw something white lower through the rain and felt a little less afraid. He took a couple of steps forward, hoping that it would help his vision, but it did nothing to help. The blurred figure continued a blur.
"Look...uhh...ShroomTeam..."He said kinda loudly due to the fact that he could hardly even hear himself. He walked closer, still trying to get a good look. "I was just resting, there isnt a crime for that is there?! This is my pack, Im allowed!" He stepped even closer. "Unless the alphess came up with a new rule...or the rain is acid or something..." He just rambled off. Before he knew it, he had almost ran into the wolfess. "Im sorry...I didnt see you, i swar-" He stopped. He had a very clear picture of the wolfess now.
She was different in appearance now, but there was no mistaking it. Her eyes, her smell...her very presence. Even after all these years...a hundred years...he never forgot a bit of it. His eyes stared at her, wide, his mouth agape with suprize.
"M...MoonBeam?"

MoonBeam tilted her head slightly as he repeated her name in the distance. No, it wasn't her name, something else. Groom me maybe? Why would she want to groom him? She didn't even know what this wolf looked like. MoonBeams eyes looked down in deep thought, hardly noticing the wolf move toward her. She though about how weird it would be to groom a male besides Ginbuke. Sadly, in the last hundred years she had been forced too.
It was about twenty five years since she had returned to the clan. Her punishment had been cut short by about fifty or so more. She, being the only heir not tainted by evil, had to be forced into courtship. she regretted that as well. She regretted having that wolf's children, ruling with him, having him ent--
Her thinking was cut short by a familiar voice. It was accompanied by an all to familiar sent. It made her heart pound and breath flutter. She dared not look up, fearing it was merely her imagination toying with her once more. But yet again, curiosity cursed her once more. Her eyes rose slowly, leading her head up with them. Tears emerged at the corners of there faded blue gaze. She stood in shock, barely aware of the rain pounding on her back, harder than ever.
"Ginbuke..."
She broke. No longer could her emotions stay welled up inside. Tears flooded from her. "Oh Ginbuke, how I've missed you."

Gin's eyes were wide as he stood there, staring down at her, his heart audible, even through the thunder and pounding rain. He could hardly believe it, and yet here she was. He wanted to tackle her and just start licking her, she was here! She was actually here! however, his paws wouldnt move. He wouldnt move a muscle. The rain turned to hail, but Gin hardly noticed it. Suddently his joy turned into anger. He frowned, turning away from MoonBeam, his tail flaring behind him.
"WHAT THE HELL MOONBEAM!" He shouted, well loud enough for her to hear. "WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED?! YOU BIT ME! DO YOU KNOW HOW THIS HUNDRED YEARS HAVE BEEN!? Ive been alone MoonBeam..." Tears were flooding his eyes, but he didnt notice, he thought it was just the rain. He turned back around to face her. "WHY COULDNT YOU LET ME DIE?!"

The harsh words of her lover soaked into Moonbeam's ears. It felt like something had punctured her heart, making it bleed and bleed. It felt as if there where no end. Her breaths quivered. Her teeth clenched. She had built a temper in her stay at that horrible place, and it showed no Mercy. She looked, no, glared at him, right in the eye. Her soft-ness dissipated and her words became ice.
"So you think you've had it pretty rough hey?" She growled in response. She took a hard step forward. "Do you even have the SLIGHTEST idea WHY I bit you Ginbuke? Do you?" One more step. Her wings quivered and her eyes seemed to glint red for a moment. "Its because if I didn't, I knew I would be a sex slave for the remainder of my miserable life!!" She hollered at him. "IF I didn't bite you, I swear, your pups would have and entire ARMY of siblings going after them, YOUR flesh and blood!" Her teeth bared. "I would have a different bloody child coming out of be each bloody week!" She turned. She breathed deeply. "If I hadn't bitten you, there would be no reason of returning." She spoke. "Not even your pups would be reason enough." Her head hung low for a moment, then she turned. "I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing the last time I would see you, would be when I was dragged away from the only wolf I have ever loved." Her entire body felt numb as the last words trembled out of her mouth. A breeze shook her like a leaf. It was almost like she would blow away.

Ginbuke stood his ground as she approached him, an angry look pasted on his face. When she finished he let out a snort, whipping his head away from her. He seemed oblivious to her pain. Right now, he had an entire brain filled with questions and angry screams towards her that he had been building up for a hundred years. The hail had finally ceased, and the rain was quieting. Gin could speak without yelling. "It wasnt fair MoonBeam." His head turned back to her, a glare in his eyes. "I watched my sons die." His eyes were seeping tears. "I watched my grandchildren die. I watched their children die. I was supposed to die before my sons. It shredded my heart."
He turned away so that she wouldnt see his tears, though it was extremly obvious in his voice. "I watched as everyone that I loved was taken away from me. I watched my pack fall apart. I watched the lands as they formed a single pack, then seperated again. I stood there on the battle field, protecting the silver shadow lands, watching my friends fall, and not having any strength to help. And every so often, I get thirsty. So much blood...." His voice trailed off, his head dropped, and his breath was heavy. The tears flooded the ground.
"And for a hundred years...I didnt have you." He looked up at her. His glare was replaced with a heartwrenching shudder. "I dont know what they did to you MoonBeam...but every day, every single day, 36,500 days...I thought about how I didnt do a thing to stop them..."

A weight, heavy even though the rain had ceased, dragged her head down. She took a step back, not wanting to push his anger any further, nor hers. She herself wanted to drop dead. She felt pathetic.
Her thoughts traveled to that day. It was horrid. The absolute worst memory she had to face for 100 years. The faces on her youngest pups as the blood dripped from there father. It was the only way she could see him again. She thought it selfish now. She could still remember as they grabbed her by the scruff of her neck, like a pathetic newborn pup. She remembered feeling so frightened and submissive. And she didn't do a thing to stop them.
Her head was low, almost low enough to smother herself in the moist grass below. She would have too, If it wasn't for him. It was as if he encouraged her to live without speaking a word. She had waited one hundred wretched years to see him. But not like this.

Ginbuke walked up to MoonBeam, a soft look in his eyes. He lifted his paw, pushing her chin up to force her to look up at him. He still had a few tears in his eyes, but he was hurridly trying to push it all away. "MoonBeam...just....seeing you again..." The tears started once more. "Just seeing you here is enough to push the pain away. You've no idea....how much...Ive missed you..." He pulled her into an embrace, nuzzling her wet fur.
He stayed that way for a while. Who knows how long, probably a few hours. But he didnt care, what was a few hours to a hundred years? Finally, he pulled away from her. "MoonBeam...I love you. I will always love you. Ive been waiting a hundred years to see you return....a hundred years was well worth being with you again."
