In the meadow there was no movement except a slight breeze, which made the tall grass sway slightly. Two figures were in the middle of the meadow, both appeared lost and scared. The huntress suspected they were about six moons old. As she shifted her weight to one side, preparing to pounce, the cubs heard nothing, and continued to wander around aimlessly. Aero pounced on one, a female with a beautiful glossy black coat. The female struggled, but she was no match for Aero. The white female very gingerly snapped the cubs neck, not wanting to make a mess, then jumped to the other cub, doing the same. As the two died, Aero sighed. I hate nothing more than an easy kill, she thought sadly. She began to tear through the flesh, eating both of the cubs in about ten minutes flat. It would seem as though the death of two cubs would hurt her inside, but not at all. They were nothing to her, just some other wolf's cubs. She wanted her own cubs, and would never adopt someone else's. As she began to walk around, Aero noticed a big blood spot on her leg. She growled instantly, hating being even the slightest bit dirty, and hurried to a small section of the river that ran through the clearing. She jumped in, using her wings as leverage to stay afloat, and began to wade around. She tried not to enjoy the swim, enjoying something was not something she liked to do, but still she did, and almost smiled, then stopped herself. She refused to be happy, and climbed out of the river, feeling foolish.

A thick black mist began to creep it’s way through the meadow, the grass began to gradually turn a black color as the life force from it was being sucked up into the mysterious mist. The mist gradually began to pull apart, however nothing was visible in the dense blackness. It wasn’t long before the clicking of chains echoed across the land, shattering the silence, an eerie sound that pierced into others ears. The sound would not subside; it actually seemed to get louder and louder as the seconds dragged on. Deep heavy breaths soon caused the chains to diminish. The breathing was loud and husky there was a hint of a hissing and growling tone to it, as if the one, who was breathing, was seriously pissed at something. Finally, the mist vanished into thin air and an immense black figure stood where the mist left. He stood nearly 8 feet tall and weighed around 250 pounds. His pelt was a pitch black that it would be hard to detect him in the dead of night. Large fangs dropped down from his jaws which were covered in blood. His small black eyes were narrowed down to slits as he looked forward.
Jabez looked pure malevolence, as if he would swipe his mighty paw at anyone who even dared to cross paths with him. Which would have been true back in the olden days, however things were different now, and Jabez was different now. Before his evilness was off the charts, on the scale of 1 – 10 he was probably a 15 and now he was possibly around a 7. This didn’t mean he went and became soft, it meant that he no longer killed for fun (or at least not as much amore) he calmed down and didn’t get angry as easily as ever. He however will not hesitate to kill someone –unless they are part of his pack- who pisses him off. He had a ways to go before he was even to be considered neutral. Before, Jabez hated being around others – but now he didn’t mind as long as stupid questions were not asked and they gave him his space. He was much more tolerant of his pack members then anything.
Jabez spotted the female instantly; he had known she was here before he even came to the meadow. Her beauty meant nothing to him. He was like any other guy, he thought she was beautiful, but this didn’t mean he was going to fall for her – he never fell for anyone – and he wasn’t planning on too. He believed love was a waist of time and was a waist of an emotion. A small frown came across his maw as he lifted his heavy paws and began to journey forward, his dark eyes never leaving her not even for a second. Once he was quite a feet away from her, he remained perfectly still, his eyes glaring at her as if he was trying to look within her soul. He did not say anything. He was not going to say anything. He was seeing what she was going to do. He held his head high and his tail perched across his pack, easily showing that he was the Alpha of this pack – and he was going to be respected.

Aero began to dry herself, doing a dog-ish shake of her fur before she felt content. She was a tad damp, but not enough to bother her. Suddenly she felt a chill enter the meadow, and the black mist entering. She did not lie, she did feel fear of the mist, and of who could be controlling it but as the mist pulled apart she saw the infamous Jabez and felt herself get a bit nervous. But she did not want to seem weak in front of this very powerful alpha, so she stayed where she was at and acted as though she had not noticed him. She could tell he was getting closer though, and heard the movement of the grass beneath his massive paws. Finally Aero decided she should turn around, and when she did she almost gasped, but caught herself. He was quite scary looking, that was for sure, but he was also handsome, in an odd way. When he stopped and stood there, she moved a few feet closer to him, then bowed, she knew he was to be respected or she would surely find herself dead in a matter of seconds. She thought of many things to say, but wasn't sure what to. She wanted to show she could be loyal, but didn't want to seem like she was trying to hard, so as she lifted her body from her bow she said, "Jabez BloodWind, I am honored to finally meet you." Jabez’s cold and empty eyes glanced over the female, and snorted slightly. He wasn’t really into the whole conversation thing, he rather spend his time alone, however he knew that if he wanted to be Alpha he would have to make some sacrifices to get to his goal. He would have to change, but only slightly. He wasn’t going to soften up too much, he wasn’t going to let others push him around and piss him off and let it slide. No, he was going to act upon it. He grinded his fangs together at the thought, his claws dug into the ground. He turned his gaze and grunted when she began to speak. He was only half paying attention, he was debating if he should leave or not, but rolled his eyes as he stayed put.
“So, it seems you already know who I am,” Jabez said with a smirk. He wasn’t surprised; for the past hundred years he had been making sure that others knew his name and knew to fear him. He wouldn’t conceder himself conceited – however others might – but he had never lost a battle, except he did have a tie, the only tie he ever had and that was with Trapper – his arch nemesis. However he had not seen his dreadful cousin and more then twenty years and he was hoping he wouldn’t have to run into him again, for if he did Trapper wouldn’t escape him once again, Jabez wouldn’t allow it.
“So then what is your name?” He asked her, he was a bit annoyed, she should have just stated it. Now that he had to ask it actually made it seem as if he actually cared who she was. He needed pack members however. “And do you have some business here?” He asked her with a raised brow. He wouldn’t make it too difficult to join his pack. So long as you were evil and were powerful he would allow you in – as well as follow by his rules and respect him – he didn’t believe that was too much to ask.

Aero couldn't help but notice that Jabez was not interested in talking with her, barely paying attention, and all those little "I don't want to be here" things like digging his claws into the ground, grinding his teeth, ectera. She began mentally kicked herself for seeming a bit too eager to meet him. Her ears dropped a bit at her foolishness, and she pulled her head up from her gracious bow to Jabez.
"Yes, you are very infamous, as I'm sure you know. Most lone wolves fear your name, others, like myself, like to see things with my own two eyes," she said, her smirk matching with his. Although Jabez was intimidating with his hulking figure and many weapons, she tried not to show her fear, although if you looked into her eyes you could see she was actually quite frightened by him.
When he asked her name she felt a bit stupid for not telling him in the first place. She almost felt as though she had slightly insulted him for making him ask, and hoped that wouldn't change her chances of getting into the Azrael pack. "My name is Aero NightHowler and my buisness is I am a nomad finally interested in joining up into a pack." She smirked again, she did not want to give away a lot, but she felt somehow that if she lied to Jabez she would regret it. Part of her wanted to run away, part of her wanted to stay put and prove that she would not be scared by him. She wasn't fond of this feeling, like he had control over her with his power. But one thing Aero was was too proud to run away, so she stayed put, her claws digging into the ground as if trying to force herself to stay, right now the temptation to run was increasingly high.

Jabez listened her words, although he wasn’t really interested in what she was saying. She wasn’t saying anything knew to him. He has known for a long time several wolves frightened him, hated him, or admired him. Ever since he had stolen his cousins’ thunder – it was Jabez who was on top of the food chain and in second place was his pathetic excuse of a cousin Trapper. However he couldn’t lie that it was nice that someone actually knew him, ever since he had stopped killing for fun – his name had gradually began to vanish from the world. They thought he had gone soft probably, yeah like that was the case.
“It is good to know that there are still those who fear me – and others who want to actually see me – but however…that could be your worst mistake.” Jabez said in his usually sarcastic and cruel tone. He spoke it so cleverly it was almost impossible to tell if he was dead serious or if he was just yanking her chain…then again it was hard to believe that Jabez would ever joke around like that.
“Aero,” He said her name testing it out, he raised a brow at what she said next, “Oh, so I suppose you wish to join my pack? And why should I do that?” He asked her. “A female into my pack? You must impress me before I even consider.” That’s right ladies – Jabez was one of those oh-so-famous males who thought that females were weak and couldn’t do anything. Even though he was proven wrong too many times, he was too stubborn to change his way of thinking.

Aero felt a small shiver, starting at her head, but working her way down to her tail, at the words Jabez had said. She wondered if he was serious, but convinced herself he was joking, to calm herself down. She nodded, her ears perking as he said her name, then dropping again at his next words. "Ah, I understand your feelings about female wolves being weaker, but I believe I could take down many strong males, she said, with a glint in her eye. She was rather insulted that he thought she was weak for being female, but again she nodded, and began to show her power, knowing she really had no other choice if she wanted to join his fine pack.
Her maw dipped to the ground, and the ground began to rumble. Rocks around the clearing began to join together in places, creating wolf like shapes. The same for water, and even bark off trees. Even air began to join together to create a wolf, and finally one made of fire appeared. All five elemental wolves stood in a line behind Aero, and bowed their heads. Aero began to speak. "I'm not sure about my past, my memory was wiped and I only remember bits at a time, but I have a theory that my parents must've been elementals. She was half talking to Jabez, half talking to herself. "Each of them are quite powerful, and completely control their element, but usually I can only use one to fight at a time, or else I'll get tired, but summoning all five to not fight is easy, also. The elementals were not real wolves, they had no feelings and could only take orders from Aero, they weren't really slaves, but they knew to follow Aero or she could simply make them disapear with her power.
She turned her attention from the elementals back to Jabez, and awaited his answer of her joining his pack.

Jabez just stood there perfectly still as Aero showed him her power. He listened carefully as she spoke something about her parents possibly being elements? He was trying to pay attention, but it was obvious he wasn’t quite catching every single word she said. After she remained silent he did not speak. He did not speak for a long time. Part of the reason is he was wondering if he should let her join and the other part of his mind went back into his memories about his own parents and how he had killed his father, he hadn’t seen his mother in a while, he smirked, and he wandered if she was still planning on killing him – like she could.
“I see, quite impressive.” He wasn’t going to lie about it. Jabez wasn’t really one to lie, unless it was a personal question. He nodded his head slightly in approval, he did like her power, but he wasn’t about to praise her for it, she wasn’t the only one who had an impressive power. “You may join if you wish – be cautious though, I don’t take rule breakers lightly, but since you know so much about me, then you should already know that.” He said with a grunt. He turned his gaze upon the black sky. He really did need more members, even if some of them happened to be females. Just wait and see Trapper, you may think I’ve backed away, but you are highly mistaken. I’ll show you and everyone else – that I Jabez am the strongest of all.

When Jabez said her power was impressive, she couldn't help but smile a bit, but she definitely heeded his warning about rule breakers. Her mind suddenly thought of 20 possible things he could do to her with those fangs of his, and none of them were pleasant. Her face changed from her smile to a slightly worried face, but she relaxed, knowing she had been accepted into probably the hardest pack to get into. It was quite an honor.
When Jabez's gaze shifted and he seemed to be lost in his thoughts, she wasn't sure what to do. Would it be disrespectful if she just left, or would she appear stupid and clingy to the alpha if she continued to stand there. She began to take a few steps backwards, still not sure what would be the correct thing to do.

If she had said something he wouldn’t have heard her anyway, for he was lost in his own thoughts. He hated when that happened. He hated his childhood. He hated how pathetic his father was, he thought he was so evil, but he was easy to kill. He hated his mother for being in love with him and trying to kill him. He hated his sisters for admiring him and being too clingy. He hated his cousin for thinking he was better then the one and only Jabez. He hated everyone, well mostly everyone, he suppose there was a few he could get alone at least some what decent, but would never call them a friend. He didn’t need any friends. Only followers.
Jabez turned his head down as he looked at Aero; he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do. Should he just leave or try to have a decent conversation? He wasn’t even sure if he was capable of doing that. “So…” his voice trailed off. He narrowed his eyes slightly, if she wanted to talk she’d better say something, because he wasn’t good at this – if she wasn’t going to say something soon then he was just going to leave.

Aero began to become lost in her own thoughts too. Where did Jabez even come from? Not many knew of his past, and she was one of the ones who didn't. Most evil wolves had some sort of awful past that had corrupted them into being evil, or were born into an evil family. She on the other hand didn't know what kind of family she was born into, as her family wasn't even really a family, but she knew that she had lived in the good packs for a while, like that did much for her.
When he spoke, her head snapped up, she thought about what she should say, but awkwardness seemed to blanket her, and her tounge did not want to form words. Finally she seemed to grasp her intelligence, and she spoke. "IS there an alphess of this pack?" She asked, thinking that any male of Jabez's stature would be taken.

Jabez was not expecting that question of all things. He looked at her strangely; he wandered why she would ask such a stupid question. The thought never even crossed his own mind, him have a mate? The thought almost caused him to laugh – however instead he frowned as he stared at her for a long moment; it almost looked as if he was going to start yelling at her. However he didn’t, he remained calm, his face held no emotion – it was just a blank slate – so it was impossible to tell what he was feeling or thinking at the moment.
“No,” he told her in a emotionless tone, as though it didn’t bother him at all, “there is no Alphess – and I highly doubt there will be. Love is for the weak and I’m clearly not weak.” He told her with a small glare, however he shrugged it away.

Aero didn't even try to hide the fact that she was taken aback by Jabez's answer. It was so foreign to her. In her opinion wolves should always be looking for love. "I disagree," She said simply while blinking and shrugging her shoulders slowly. "I for one am envious of those in love. I don't find it for the weak, I find it for the strong, actually. Being able to give someone the complete power to destroy your emotionally, in my opinion, takes a lot of stength, not weakness."

(( Sorry Emy, I'm taking Jabez out because I REALLY want to roleplay him and don't want to wait until you get back. Forgive me. When you come back we can roleplay then, 'kay =D ))
“Giving the power to someone to destroy you is being weak.” Jabez told her in a dead-tone voice. He took a few steps toward her and lowered his head so they were now eye-level. He stared at her for a long time, not moving a muscle. “I’ve seen many fall in love and end up a mess later on…I even have an example. My mother,” Jabez hated talking about his past, but maybe then this female would get the love idea out of her head, “she fell in love with my father, even if she will probably never admit it, but it was quite obvious. When I killed my father…she went berserk. She went all depressed and emotional and even tried to kill me a couple of times. Let me just put it short. She lost her mind.” Jabez said as he pulled away from her and looked away with a grunt.
“Love is for the weak. Those who are really strong and powerful don’t need anybody but themselves. If you began to count on others for things, you become weak.” He turned and looked at her. “Love is far from making one stronger.” He told her in a emotionless voice as he turned and looked back up at the dark sky. He would never allow himself to feel such feelings, love, it was pathetic, how could she say such a thing like that?
