{Trapper} --> Hidden In the Shadows.
The darkness lingered over the forest like a heavy burden. Shadows flash before the eyes, but diminish as quickly as they came. The large trees linger into the sky, almost blocking out the sun, which had to strain to get past the thick leaves and reach the bottom of the forest. Dark clouds could be spotted through the holes in the forest. A semi-large black figure walked through the forest, his body blended perfectly with his surroundings, except for his red markings, which almost looked like blood from a far away glance. His body was slender, but with each movement, his muscles were clearly visible. He was large, but he wasn’t nearly as large as some of the wolves that lived upon this land.
The wolf paused in his tracts as he looked up into the darken sky; a deep sigh escaped his maw. This wolf used to be famous. He used to be the one everyone envied and hated. Trapper Nightheart the cousin of Jabez, the one who used to be infamous, but now Trapper was pushed side, no one even knew his name really. For several years he had complete control over things, but then Jabez came in and stole his Thunder. They fought for several days – but it was a dead end tie – and both died, but here Trapper was once again, walking upon this pathetic ground. He wanted revenge for so long, but now, he wasn’t quite sure.
He sat down upon the ground, pinning his ears back upon his head. He wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. He had this empty feeling, as if even if he killed his cousin, it still wouldn’t be filled. He thought that all he wanted was the rush and the thrill of a kill. However, now killing no longer felt the same Yeah, he wasn’t because nice, he was still thick headed and rude as well as sarcastic – but he no longer had the thrill of killing. Did Jabez feel this way too? Did something happen when they died and were sent to hell, but then came back here? He wasn’t sure, but he was sure he couldn’t let Jabez see him like this, he hadn’t seen his cousin in a long time, and he hoped it stayed like that.

Every fur on end, the small female padded slowly through the trees. Literally. Despite her obvious invisibility to others, she felt everything but safe wandering through the darkness in unfamiliar land. She was quite aware of where she was, but she was fairly certain that, if found, she would not be welcome with open arms. That was why she decided to stay invisible. Alice decided that she would rather find, then be found...
With nothing but the darkness surrounding, it allowed her to be carried away. Far away. To a time where her name held meaning. The air turned cool, and the sun appeared, and Alice became tangible in her own little dream land. Though back in reality, any passer by would see a long-legged female appear out of nowhere, standing perfectly still. But Alice had forgotten where she was, and let her mind carry her off...
Come on...Just try it once. A large deep brown male stood beside the common pelted female. It was like a tiger standing next to a house cat. Alice dwindled in size beside her large mate. The two looked out at the rather murky looking water that would soon take the life of the male, though neither of the wolves knew that. I don't know Kerosene... Small rounded ears fell back, and she gave her mate a look of slight fear. The male seemed to respect that, but his own eyes held determination. You'll act just like a buoy. Grinning, he licked her muzzle, and she just scowled, trying not to give him the pleasure of hearing her laugh, because...Well, she probably would act like a buoy. Her belly had swelled with the sign of the pups that would be arriving soon. Her belly alone would keep her afloat. I'll dip my paws, and then you'd better drag me out by my tail. Her scowl turned into a nervous grin. It had been so long since she had swam, in her younger days really. She missed it. But Alice didn't quite expect her first swim in a long time to take place in the murky flood waters. Looking out, she took a step forward, the hill they both stood on sloping down, and disappearing into the water. The water reached so high that in two more steps she was in, and paddling pretty hard. Her belly acted more like a bag full of rocks than a buoy, and in a second, Kerosene dragged her out...By her tail.
Crack!
Alice was knocked out of her dream world by the snap of a twig that was probably tread upon by some wild creature trying to escape the stone still female. In a moment, she realized that she was no longer intangible, and quickly corrected the situation, before running off, still searching for some other being. A small, cool wind blew by, and she caught the scent of a male. He smelled slightly of power, and she hoped that he was part of the pack that lived in the forest. Following the scent, she kept up her brisk pace, before becoming troubled. She couldn't see the male anywhere, of course, while she was thinking this, she passed right through him, probably giving him a slightly chill. That's why he was nearly invisible. His fur was as black as pitch... Stepping back, she ran a few yards back, behind a bush, before becoming tangible again, and revealing herself to him, "You!" She barked towards the large male. "Do you reign here?" Her voice was strong, though she was slightly nervous. The markings on the male gave him a very sinister look. Her paws scorched the grass around her.

{Trapper} --> Hidden In the Shadows.
Many things have changed over the course of his short lived life – well he has been alive for over a hundred years, yet that was only a dent to how old he could become. Trapper closed his eyes, he was no longer certain about what he wanted. He felt as if he was the infamous one as he used to be – he would still have this nagging empty feeling eating away at him. He hated it, it pissed him off. He wasn’t supposed to feel nothing except for rage – Trapper narrowed his eyes. He wandered what his cousin Jabez was doing? Probably off causing trouble again, however Trapper knew he couldn’t fight him. He could kill them – but then it would be the end of Trapper as well. The same goes of Jabez tried to kill Trapper, aw well might as well not even think about it, hopefully he would never have to run into him again.
Trapper’s ears twitched when he heard the female. He was too lost in his own thought to sense her presence, however for some reason he wasn’t alarmed that she was here. He twisted his head as he looked directly at her, a frown was placed across his maw, and his eyes were narrowed down into slits. “No,” he said in a calm voice with a shake of his head. His voice might have been calm – however it had a coldness about it, “however I am the Beta in this pack.” He said it as though the title meant nothing to him, and it was true, it was just a title. It did not define who he was. Trapper believed that he was above a Beta – even secretly believed he was above any Alpha, but he kept these thoughts strictly to himself.

Her disappointment was obvious when he announced that he was not the alpha, but in fact the beta. So...It wasn't as bad as she hoped. At least he wasn't a loner, or a scout. She might have freaked out in that case, and it wouldn't look good if she showed up asking for entrance with the blood of their pack mates on her paws. With a light sigh, she looked him over. Well, large, black. The look of malice. But he was beta, so someone must trust him. Strolling closer, she sat before him, about a foot away, still a little nervous, which was clear in the burning grass around her, "Could you direct me to the alpha?" Her ears fell back, and she looked him in the eye, which was probably the most disrespectful thing she could do. Never crossed her mind. "Unless you are the one that directs the loner traffic, and accepts new wolves into your lands." Auburn eyes dropped, and moved off to the side as if she was looking for evidence of other loners waiting around.

{Trapper} --> Hidden In the Shadows.
Trapper was only half concerned about this female and he really didn’t care what she did. He wasn’t the best Beta around – however he earned that rank. He was trustworthy (somewhat) he was strong and smart and he thought before he did anything rash. This didn’t mean he wasn’t conceited though – because he was. He was full of himself. He thought he was the best, but he tried to hide that dark part of himself, otherwise what pack would let him in? Trapper didn’t want to become anymore of an outcast then he already was.
He turned toward her when she asked him the question about the Alpha. “There isn’t one.” He said with a frown and shook his head. “The last Alpha ran off.” Trapper had gained his Beta from the previous Alpha. He could have easily taken leadership over the pack – but Trapper didn’t really want to be Alpha, however he wasn’t going to let just anyone take the place of an Alpha it had to be someone worthy. So it was like Trapper was the ‘guardian’ of the pack. “And yes since there isn’t an Alpha – and even if there was one – I can accept members. Or decline them.” He said as he looked at her. “Why, you wish to join?”

"Obviously she does, since she's asking for 'the one who accepts new wolves'," Fisher raised a brow, giving no regard towards the fact that she'd just barged into the conversation.
She'd been wandering along the nonexistent forest trails, being incredibly bored. She'd already slept, halfheartedly chased after a terrified squirrel, slept, ate suspicious-looking berries (her stomach was getting queasy), and slept- and was still so bored her mind seemed to be caving in from emptiness. The quiet of the wood had been deafening, and so seeing Trapper and some random other wolf had, she had to admit, made her extremely happy. There seemed to be living, breathing wolves in this place after all.
Situating herself next to the newcomer (though she herself had just been initiated into the pack), Fisher looked her over.
"Mhmm...you look like an Alice," she stated flippantly. "So I'll be calling you that, sorry. I'm Fisher, by the way," she added hastily, in case the other wolf decided to pin to her a new name of their own.

{Trapper} --> Hidden In the Shadows.
Trapper snapped his gaze over to the other wolf who spoke. He narrowed his eyes and growled. "You never know what one wants." He told her in a clear annoyed voice. He was still getting use to being around others –without killing them- he knew he was probably doing a better job at it then his cousin. He shifted his weight as his crimson red eyes flickered between the two females. He rolled his eyes and sighed. He didn’t really mind being Beta, it was a high rank, but he didn’t like doing all this interaction with other wolves for him it seemed pretty dull.
“What is it that you want anyway?” He snapped his attention over to Fisher who just barged into the conversation. He really didn’t mind that, but she was irritating him slightly, but he was able to keep his voice in a low tone. He didn’t want to lose his temper, not now at least, it didn’t take much to cause Trapper to get pissed off, but he was learning how to contain it.

She nodded indifferently. "I guess that's true." Fisher blinked at his next sentence and it's hostility.
"Whoah, you're scary," she observed. "Can you do that death glare thing? All wolves with red eyes are supposed to be able to," she continued, genuinely curious. Frankly, she didn't care if she was beginning to piss him off or not- she needed entertainment and he was providing it.
"Don't get too mad, though- I don't want fireballs flung at me," and here the wolf grinned. "To answer your question, nothing. How could I possibly have an ultimatum? I'm just, eh, bored. Very, very bored. And you're not boring at all."

{Trapper} --> Hidden In the Shadows.
Trapper rolled his eyes at her. “I’m not here to entertain you.” He told her bluntly as he sat down upon the ground. Trapper was pretty big, but he was more slender then anything which made him seemed a bit larger because of his long legs. He was getting better at controlling his temper, he was much mellower then he used to be, if that is possible. Before he would have ripped her head off for making him mad, but now he just sat back and took a deep breath.
He didn’t quite understand why his personality changed, he knew it had to do with him going to hell, but why in the world would the devil want him mellower? Wouldn’t that destroy the point of being evil? However no matter how hard Trapper tried he never got the thrill from killing, all the things he liked to do –mainly torture others and flirt with females – now seemed dull and boring and he had no interest in them, which is why he joined a neutral pack instead of an evil one.

She grinned. "Okay, okay. I guess I'll-" Fisher stopped, raising a brow at Trapper's sudden somberness.
"Uhm. Something wrong? Don't go all clammy and bottle stuff up, because in the end you'll explode, and I do /not/ want Trapper-innards all over me." She paused. "That sounded wrong."
Fisher decided to sit too, as standing was pretty awkward. Her mind mulled over the day ahead of her- and once again deflated a bit at the impending emptiness.

{Trapper} --> Hidden In the Shadows.
Trapper grunted and rolled his eyes at her. “Don’t you ever just shut up?” He asked her in an obvious annoyed tone. He flickered his tail as he turned and looked away from her, his gaze looking off into the distance, at noting in particular. “I can do whatever I want, whenever I want.” He said as he snapped his gaze back toward a frown was now placed across his maw as he watched her for some time. “And I’m not going to ‘explode’ or whatever…” the last words were more of a mumble then anything else, his voice as well faded away.

Fisher grinned again- she was getting to him, and oh, he was fun to get at.
"Okay, touchy touchy," she grumbled goodnaturedly. Seeing Trapper point his maw into the distance, she looked off too, seeing...nothing. Uhhh?
"It's called being metaphorical," she added dryly to Trapper's next comment. "Come on, don't you want to, eh, pour out your feelings? Aunty Fisher's here to listen." She was now grinning manically, knowing full well how irritating her words were.

{Trapper} --> Hidden In the Shadows.
“You want me to open up to you?” Trapper snapped his attention back to her and snorted. “You want me to tell you all those painful and horrible feelings I feel inside?” He said in a mocking tone and laughed somewhat. Trapper turned away from her for a moment. He was fine, or so he thought. He pinned his ears back upon his head as his thoughts came to his cousin Jabez, that was no surprise, often he thought about how Jabez came and stripped Trappers glory away…and now Jabez probably had everything…while he had nothing.
“Ugh, I hate him.” He growled. He hated his cousin more then anything. He felt if he killed him, the joy of killing would come back, but he couldn’t kill him – that’s what probably bugged Trapper the most. It wasn’t that Trapper wasn’t strong enough, no he knew how to kill him…but killing his cousin would also mean the destruction of himself.

Her eyes narrowed, Trapper's demeanor getting at her. "Alright then, go ahead and slit your wrists, wallow in self-pity." Fisher watched as Trapper turned away, gnashing his teeth and generally being angry.
Hearing his statement, she said indifferently, "Hate's a strong word." Fisher tilted her head, peering at him. Just who could make him act like this? "Who?" She asked, repeating her thought. Mulling through her own thoughts, Fisher couldn't find anyone who deserved that much hate. Of course, she didn't really care about others in general, let alone hate them.

{Trapper} --> Hidden In the Shadows.
“Hate is a strong word?” Trapper said with a laugh, he spoke, but he wasn’t looking at her. “Hate is not even strong enough to explain how I feel about…” He let his voice trail away. It wasn’t hate that he felt toward Jabez it was much worst then that. Trapper wanted to rip him to shreds, he wanted to see Jabez’s eyes with fear, he wanted to take away everything from him…yet it killed Trapper to know he couldn’t. When she had asked who he turned around and looked at her.
“Who?” He dumbly repeated the question, only because he wasn’t sure how to answer it. “Jabez,” the name rolled off his tongue with much hatred, “my cousin whom I loath like no one could possibly understand. It’s his fault. It’s his entire fault. He stole my glory.” Trapper tilted his head up and looked at the sky. “Now it’s all gone…all a memory…a dim memory.”
