The small amount of mud apon the ground shown pawprints. They were small, but large at the same time. As a small bit of rain came down, eliminating the pawprints slowly. A few yards from the start of the pawprints, revealed a wolfess. Her pelt shown majenta, with black blended in. The wolfess wached the horizion. She then looked down at her paws, digging them into the ground beneath her.

Ah, the rain. Not only was it raining gently, but it was dark. Nighttime, of course. Zaahran normally only came out at night, even though in no way was he nocturnal. The male walked through the meadow, his black tail gently swinging back and fourth. Yellow eyes glanced around, the meadow was basically empty, spare one wolfess. She was odd looking, that was the only aspect he took in before looking away again.
He looked up to the sky, it was a cloudy night, and you couldn't see the moon. It was sad, he loved watching the moon, howling to it in the middle of the night, while others began to howl along. When the moon wasn't out, it felt as if a part of Zaahran was gone, he was just very in love with it. As if it were his brother.
As he came to the wolfess, Zahraan thought of a greeting to say. After all, when passing another wolf, it was only polite to offer a greeting, was it not? Coming upon her, he dipped his head gently. "Nice night we're having, eh?" He asked comically, of course, it wasn't a nice night. It was cold, wet, and cloudy.

For Checkers, it was normal. She was used to being without the presence of others. It wasn't often that one such as her was with others. It wasn't long before she senced something odd. It was a scent. Not like a rabbit, or deer. But one like her own. Yet, it was different than her own. It was unique, easily revealing the identity of another.
She didn't bother to look around as she looked at the small glow of stars, peeking through the darkness. She liked to trace the stars, counting them at points. How beautiful they were, just standing there proud. In a way, she wanted to be like a star, beautiful and pround. She didn't once call herself 'ugly' or 'different'.
Within a few minutes, she heard the wolf's breath getting closer and closer. In a way, she was afraid to look back, as she knew that the wolf could be unfriendly. She just remained sitting, until she heard the vocals of him. She slowly looked to where she had heard him. Beautiful. She said in a quiet, gentle tone. She smiled kindly. Her focous wasn't really on anything. She could see glimpses of him.

Zaahran shook the water from his pelt, making sure not to get any on the female... not that it would really matter, it was already wet anyways. She seemed interesting, very different, that much he was sure of. The way she looked, acted, and spoke led him to believe that maybe she wasn't used to others.
Though he rarely spoke to others himself, he at least was used to them enough to know normal behaivor. This was certainly not normal. He decided that maybe speaking with her would let him know more about her. If she wanted him gone, all she'd have to do was let him know. "If I might ask, Miss, what's your name?"

Checkers studied the ground. For a bit, inleast until she realized it would be rude toignore the male. She noticed it was colder now, much colder. Checkers was easily cold, though. She shivered a bit, her thin pelt letting cold air sting her bones as there was ear to no fat to keep body heat in.
She looked back at the male. Careful not to look him into the eyes. Her focous soon went to the ground. This was to her dismay, as she didn't want to look to the ground. She soon looked back at him with no problems. She flicked her tail back and fourth every few minutes.
Soon, she heard his vocals once more. at first, they were like a big mess in her head. She soon sorted out the words, and knew what he said. I'm....CheckersShe said in her normal, quiet tone. She looked back up to the stars, studing them for a few moments. As she looked back at him, she made sure not to catch his eyes. May I ask of your callings? She asked in a soft voice.
