The flowers here always made her soul calm. A smile played Kaili Moonlight's face and she took in all the scents and smells of the Asura Meadow. Lowering her agile body down to take a sip of the cool, clear waters, she lapped up the water, calm blue eyes closed.
Looking out amongst the gorgeous lands, her mind wandered. Why did she come here? To think? Did something call her to this place? Another soul to be trapped? She tensed for a second, eyes turning white, she felt the lands for any distressed spirit. When none was found, her eyes returned to their calm blue as she relaxed. Such a beautiful landscape...

The day was young as the sun had just barely gotten over the horizon. There were large puffy clouds scattered through the sky, and the weather was cool. It was fall in the lands of Nozomi, but the Asuru Meadow had to be one of the most beautiful places for it to occur. The trees that surrounded the area were already changing into the warm colors of Autumn. The crystal clear river flowed easily, making it just a little cooler in the meadow. There were many exotic flowers that could only be found here, though some were dying in the cooler weather.
"Ahh... The Asura Meadow. Such a lovely place..."
A wolf came up from where the dens were. He was very large, five foot one, and weighed 200 lbs of muscle. He walked slowly, letting the wonderful feeling he got from the meadow creep into him. He was mostly white in pelt color. He had orange markings on his shoulders and thighs, and one on his fourhead where a blue gem was embedded. He had yellow fur sticking up in places like his neck and paws, and his tail. The yellow strands on his tail were seperate into two seperate 'pony tails,' wrapped up in bandages, though nothing was wrong with them. He had crystal blue eyes, and wore a necklace that reached to the center of his chest. On the neclace what a red gem, similar to the one on his forehead. It was placed neatly in a brown stick looking thing that curved upwards into a crescent. He had the looks of true royalty. The looks of a true king.
This wolf was no other than Riakku Legacy Furystorm. He was the king of the Sveta kingdom; the light kingdom. He ruled over all the light packs, making sure there was order to it. He smiled as he sniffed the meadow air. He searched the meadow with his blue orbs, and was surprised to see one of his servents. He was pretty leneant (sp?) With his servents. He let them take breaks often, not wanting to tire them out. He slowly but swiftly walked over to his servent Kaili.
He went over and sat beside her. He wagged his tail, bringing the strands of yellow following closely. "Good morning Kaili. Enjoying the meadow I see." He said with a smile. One of his powers was to make others feel comfortable around him. He didn't really have to control it, it just happened. He looked down to Kaili, sinse he was very tall, he had to look down to a lot of wolves. "How are you this morning?" He asked conversationally.

The sudden comfort of a warm presence made Kaili smile softly, her eyes shifting to a comfortable purple coloration. The king must be around.
As if on cue, Riakku sat next to her. With a graceful bow, Kaili replied. "Good morning sir." He was always very easy to talk to. "Aye. This is my favorite place in the kingdom." He was huge compared to the slender, agile female.
"I'm doing very well." SHe couldn't complain. Sure she hated being a servant, but life was good. She was alive..well, semi-alive. "And how are you?" the Ghost Princess asked with a smile.

He nodded. "I don't blame you for loving this place. It's geogreous.." He said, looking around as he commented. The sun passed behind a cloud, shadowing the whole meadow. Though, it was still beautiful. She answered his other question, and he slightly frowned. He knew she wasn't completely okay. He also had the power to sense when others were lying. Though, he didn't press on about it. If she was worried about something, she would surely tell him. For he would never tell a soul.
He smiled once again. "I'm doing well. The packs seem to be okay as well, so I'm not worried about anything." He said as he looked towards the light packlands. You could only feintly make out the different packs. He turned back to look at her. "It feels nice to get away from our duties and relax here. This place is very calming." He said, happy to be talking with his servant. He wagged his large, fluffy tail. He leaned down smoothely to take a sip of water from the river. It was very cool and refreshing. He lied down afterwards beside the female, waiting for her to say something.

She yawned slightly. The meadow always gave a calm feeling. "Tis' true." she replied softly. As the cloud passed and shadowed the meadow, a light breeze blew ruffling the servant's ghostly colored coat. The purple specks splattered across her back seemed to glow for a moment, then return to their normality. She knew he sensed her lie, but he wouldn't press the matter.
"Very good. A king shouldn't worry." she followed his gaze towards the pack lands. As he looked back, she looked to the stream. "Yes it does." she stretched, paws touching the edge of the waters. "I always come here when I'm troubled. The flowers tend to listen better than any wolf can." she smiled at her stupidity for saying that. She probably sounded like a lunatic. As he laid down, she felt her heart smile. Even with immense amounts of power, this wolf still talked to the lowest of the low.

He chuckled. He hadn't tried talking to plants before. But he understood. Wolves can often judge your thoughts. Flowers can only listen. "Really now?" He asked out loud. "I enjoy talking with wolves. Sure they may judge you, but it's nice to hear a second opinion." He said with a smile. He turned his head to her, thumping his tail softly on the ground behind them. The sun came out from behind the cloud, it seemed brighter than before. It must be, for time had passed...
The flowers seemed to love that the sun was back out. They almost glowed in the light. What he loved about the flowers here was that they were such exuberant colors. You don't often see green flowers. But those were his favorites.
Riakku's stomach growled as he turned away from the flowers with a bright smile. "I guess I'm a tad bit hungry." He thought aloud and stared into the river. Fiish swam by eagerly. He licked his lips and stood, getting ready to pounce. "I'll try not to splash." He told her as he saw a larger fish comming towards them. He stood motionless as it floated downstream. He lifted his paw, and with one swift movement, brought it down. He had made almost no splash what so ever, and had gotten his prize. He brought it out smoothely, and took a bite. It was a trout, a delicious trout. Not forgetting his manners, he turned to his servant. He took off a chunk of it, a part near the tail, and put it near Kaili. "Here. We'll just say you helped me catch it." He said wiht a warm smile.
Riakku was kinder than most wolves, especially for a king. He liked to have respect and love from his kingdom, and he liked ot earn it. He wagged his tail as he took another bite from the abnormally large fish, and looked to Kaili happily.

She nodded as he chuckled. "Aye. Don't get me wrong. I talk to wolves as well, just, I fear what they think sometimes." why was he so easy to talk to? She laughed slightly as his tail thumped on the ground. Kaili took a deep breath of the sun kissed air. The feeling of the sun's rays spilling over the lands, always made her smile.
Kaili laughed softly. "Don't worry. The waters and I have a..connection you could say." As she spoke, her paw draped across the waters, freezing the liquid in the path it took. The finished design was that of the King's necklace.
She was surprised at his graceful fishing technique and greatly accepted the piece of fish. "Nice catch." the Keeper of Souls replied. She laughed calmly at his remark. "But of course." Kaili was glad he was a kind King. If not, she would probably have been exiled by now for coming here. Ah well. Life as a King's servant wasn't all that bad. She smiled sweetly as she took a bite of the delicious fish.

Her power control was intrueging (sp?). He too had poewr over water, but he was surprised at how well Kaili controlled her powers. "You have marvelous control over your powers Kaili. Even I don't think I've mastered it enough to make intricut (Sp?) designs with ice. You've impressed me." He said and took another bite from his trout. The scales were sharp against the roof of his mouth. But, that's how it was with most fish. He swallowed, and another breeze filled the meadow. The flowers aroma filled the area, even stringer than before. He took in a deep breath of air ad let it out in a sigh.
"Simply beautiful."
He went back to what she said before he caught the fish. "Fears what others think?" He asked himself, making sure he got the words about right. He only had about one more bite left on the fish, but spoke before he ate anymore. "Well, Kaili. Not everyone in this vast world will like you. No body's perfect. There will always be flaws. But you have to accept them. And before others can like you, you need to be sure that you lik you." He said. With his own words he thought to himself. He was a pretty big perfectionist himself, and saying that no one was perfect... Made him realize that no one can be perfect. Didn't mean he would stop striving for it. He just knew now that it would be harder.

Kaili laughed lightly. She didn't think this aspect of her powers was all that special. If he only knew the extent of her ghostly ability. She took a deep breath of the scented wind. "Well, as a pup I practiced my powers rather diligently." After she couldn't save her mother that is.
She listened to his words intently. After he finished speaking, she replied with a smile. "You truly are a wise wolf." A wise wolf fit to be king. No wonder he was the leader of the lands. "And you are quite right. Flaws are what make us ourselves."
Do I like myself?
She shook the thought from her mind. Of course she did. She was Keeper of Souls, the Ghost Princess. Life was good...but could be better.

He smiled again, wiping away the serious face. "Thank you. That's why I'm king. He said, and took his last bite of fish. He swallowed, and spoke again. "It's true. Even those who strive for perfection like myself must admit it." He said as he sipped at the water's edge to wash away the bits of fish left in his teeth. He rinsed out his mouth, swallowing the cool water after he did so, and looked up to the sky.
The sun was higher in the sky now. The minutes ticked by so quickly as he spoke with his servant. He looked towards the packlands as he thought about the female beside him. He didn't think she suited the position as servant. She deserved greater. She was strong and very fun to be with. He smiled wider as he turned to sit up and face her.
"Kaili, may I ask you about your rank here in the kingdom?" He asked, thinking of the possible ranks to assign her. He was thinking of making her a normal member. But even that was better than a servant. Though he was a king, he really didn't need servants. Sure, they were helpful, and they served him well. But he wanted others to like their roles in his kingdom. If she wanted to work for him as a servant, then she could keep doing it. She seemed faithful towards him. And he would let her choose.

"You're quite welcome." she replied with a smile. He was right. That's why he was king. Because he was so wise and caring a wolf. Who ever appointed him, knew what they were doing. She listened to his words. "Aye. Even the most prestigious perfectionist has a flaw they try to hide." she sighed. She missed her alphen days when she helped other or when she just talked with her pack members. She shook her head slightly. Get the thought from your mind. You're a servant. Deal with it.
As he sat up and faced her with a broad smile, Kaili couldn't help but laugh. He towered over her so, but he stuck no fear in her heart. She respected him as he respected her.
"Yes sir? I am but a servant to your Highness." she said with a graceful bow. Her mind swam. Why are we speaking of ranks? Is he going to... She smiled. Anything would be better than a mere servant. What ever he wished, she would be.

He smiled. He knew many thoughts ran through her head. She was curious as to what Riakku had in mind. He wagged his tail behind him. "Yes, about you being my servant, how would you like if I changed your rank?" He asked, a playful smile hanging about his maw. His large body towered over her, but he knew she didn't mind. He was large, yes, but he wasn't threatening. Unless he was provoked. He could be mean, but only to those who deserved it.
Kaili didn't deserve it. She was a wonderful wolf with a big heart. She had a lot of potential. She didn't deserve the rank of a servant. He was thinking something higher. "How would you like to be my dutchess?" He offered, knowing she would be happy. Not many enjoyed being a servant, but he had high hopes that Kaili would be a good dutchess.

"Ch..change my rank?" she couldn't speak. She was so excited, so happy, she didn't know what to say. Her tail's movements spoke for her. Thumping on the ground rapidly. She loved her king! She had never seen him mean, only kindness and the outpouring of his heart.
Her jaw dropped slightly at the sound of her new rank. Kaili, Dutchess of Sveta. "Yes!" she blurted. Getting lost in the moment, Kaili jumped up and licked his check. "Thank you sir! You won't regret this. I'll perform my duties to the best of my abilities." she bowed. "Thank you."

Riakku could tell she was happy before he even spoke her new rank. Then the joy on her face when he uttered the word 'dutchess' made him laugh with joy himself. He was shocked that she had licked him. His eyes were wide, and his head jolted back at her touch. He had never gotten that reaction before. He laughed and nodded to her. "I know you will. You earned it. You work in the castle prooved that you could handle this, and I am proud of you Kaili." He said as he let his head go back to the normal position. He was glad she appreciated him.
He always loved doing good for other wolves. And he needed perfection, and Kaili was a good servant, yes, but she would make for a better dutchess. She is strong and easy to talk with. It's obvious that she's good for the role. He smiled and put a paw on her shoulder. "Now, would you like to do anything that you couldn't before?" He chuckled before speaking again. "Not that I had many restrictions before. But you're free to howl or run around or anything. i won't mind. I can even howl with you if you'd like." He said with a warm smile.
Riakku didn't like being mean. He never has. Even as a pup he was the kindest sibling. He was proud of it. It was a good thing to have respect because you earned it. He loved the feeling he got when he brought happiness to others. It made him want to be even kinder than he had been previously. He smiled, and took the paw off of Kaili so she could do what she pleased, for now at least.
